Offered is this roof removed from a 1951 Mercury 4 Door Sedan. This is unique to the 1951 model and will note be correct for the 1949 and 1950 models. Includes the upper cowl section, rear parcel shelf and A- B- and C-pillars and rear window. The roof section has not been repaired or damaged, and has no rot. It does have surface rust (or, as the chic and trendy like to say, it has 'patina') on both the weathered exterior and unpainted interior sides, but nothing bad. Cut so as to include the upper cowl, all pillars, and the rear parcel shelf.
The rear window should fit all Mercury models, including 2 door, except convertible of course. This is unique to the 1951 model. This appears to be original to the car, so it's not brittle and crappy like the cheap Chinese stuff that's available in 'repro.' No issues, very clear, no separation or fading along the edges, very few minor scratches.
If the roof of your 'barn find' was damaged by the barn that fell on it, or are repairing or redoing a rusty, damaged or bad chop, or just need a spare roof and/or window for a future project, this may be worthy of your consideration.
If you need additional information or pictures, please feel free to e-mail me. I have a lot of pictures which show the roof in much better detail. Please ask and I'll send them to you.
PLEASE NOTE that I cannot ship this!! I can send you the number for a gentleman near here who palletizes and ships. This can also be picked up here (I'm half an hour west of Rochester, NY and about an hour northeast of Buffalo), or perhaps meet in the middle somewhere if you're inclined to to travel a bit. Please ask!
Thanks for looking, and please be sure to see the other items I have offered.
