Description
This is a vintage 1973 Volkswagen camper pop top stretched double door automaticbus. It was custom built by William Kipple, A Boeing engineer in Seattle Washington.
This sat for over 20 years but the older woman that owned it said there are only 600 miles on a new engine. It looks like mice got in and chewed on a couple things but it was running very well before it was parked and recently kids threw rocks at the windows and broke one of the top jealousy windows, a side window, the back window, and the windshield has a crack.
The inside has a custom built kitchen and a gas stove was installed and the back is a bed with the original dinette cushions underneath it.
I cleaned it the best I can but it really needs to be overhauled and I left the original carpet in it because it's very cool and dated.
I also left the bra on since it was involved with the tire and tire holder. The dash is uncut and it has the original steering wheel.
This is a double door Volkswagen van and the driver side is blocked with the kitchen that was built inside, Which can easily be removed.
The roof has a pop top and I have not attempted to lift it up but it appears to be a straight up one and they installed skylight type windows in the ceiling so when that is open they work as skylights/windows. Needs new tires. The wheels are original but are rusty. I've seen a few different colors of paint but inside under the dash probably tells all. The engine door needs hinge work.
I am selling this as is with all the groovy beauty and blemishes. There are also extra parts.
Built custom in 1973. This needs an overhaul!
