The assumption is this is Vietnam era, and could have been used in the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress or a variety of other fixed and rotor wing applications of that era.

This one was removed from either a scrapped airplane or avionics upgrade by the military and warehouse stored. We used to see a lot of these out and about when the aircraft scrap yards were processing lots of the Vietnam era fighter and training jets here in Arizona 25 years ago and they were quite plentiful. The closure of ALL of the junk yards associated with that work has seen the source almost completely dry up.
No obvious signs of drop or bump damage to the metal case. Paint is exceptional on case save for some minor chips on the body of the case. Instrument face has incredibly bright and vibrant markings, indicating this one didn't bake away in an aircraft cockpit for decades before removal for scrapping. No dust/bugs or junk behind the glass. No scratches to the glass. It's still sealed quite tight. Nothing rattles or is loose inside the instrument that migrates to the front of the display. If you are fitting a cockpit display panel, this is a perfect candidate.
Wire harness is still attached. The clear plastic sheathing around the wiring bundle is perfect and complete, albeit a little yellowed with age. The Cannon connector plug is still attached and wire bundle is not damaged. Cannon plug end is capped. Knob at instrument corner turns quite nicely. Cannon plug connectors are just perfect. No dirt or grunge on the pin ends. If memory serves, these instruments were copper or steel cased and soldered together and hermetically sealed. The case on this unit is nice and straight with no dings or dents or demil holes. Exterior paint condition is great and largely intact. No scratches or yellowing to glass glazing panel.
No radium this instrument.
