An Antique Homemade Baby Cradle, circa early 1900's. Full size - not a doll cradle.
This antique homemade cradle, most likely constructed of pinewood, is in very good condition showing the expected wear from generations of loving use. The foot of the cradle is dovetailed as is the front edge of the shroud/hood. The backside of the cradle is all butt jointed. The cradle is 36" long at the bottom edge and 39 1/2" long at the top lip. The cradle is 16" wide, 13" high at the foot, 27" high to the top of the hood. The two feet are 23" across. The cradle weighs in 20 to 25 pounds. The cat in the cradle is a big male and weighs just about 15 pounds.
