c 1840 open pontil ribbed wine liquor decanter bottle

Description

c 1840 open pontil ribbed wine liquor decanter bottle. This bottle is approximately 10 1/2” tall, with the stopper and 8 1/4” without. It has an open Pontil mark on the bottom. It is etched with grapes and leaves all the way around the middle. It has really light ribbing and the ribs were hard to picture. It has light wear on the inside and light micro scratching to the outside, but this is a really clean looking bottle and the scratches are very light. I didn’t see any chips or cracks anywhere in this bottle. The stopper is hand cut to fit the bottle and has a couple of chips on the bottom edge, but I believe that this is normal for this period.
