    Description

    This is a very early piece of micaceous clay pottery, probably originating from the vicinity of Taos or Picuris pueblos.  It is a simple utilitarian design with a flared rim and slightly indented bottom.  Firing clouds and a few chips around the rim, water damage on surface from use or exposure to the elements.  This may be earlier than 1800, but I would guess a more recent historical period.  It is 6" x 6.5" with an opening of 3.5".  Good early micaceous pieces are hard to come by and this one looks great on display.
    We encourage using the close-up feature for a thorough examination as all pottery has minor imperfections, handling marks, and firing clouds. We don't want you to be disappointed & returns waste time and money.  This piece would make a great gift or a nice acquisition for any collector.  Take a look.  The pictures speak for themselves.
