    Description

    This is a 10 1/2" light amber to honey amber bottle with applied top. Nice whittle marks in neck. Dates to 1880's-1890's. Smooth, slighly scooped out or concave base is about 2 1/8" wide. Embossed in large letters vertically is "PRESTON & MERRILL / BOSTON". Near mint. A rarely seen bottle. Most of the few references to it call it a  medicine, but it's possible that it's an extract bottle. One was offered on the Internet a few years back for 5.00.
