    Description

RARE HANSCOM Bottling Biddeford Maine Glass Bottle
Antique Late 1800's Hanscom Bottling Company (or Works as sometimes was used) was a bottling/distribution company located in Biddeford, Maine. One of the beverages they bottled was called Yip-"The New Drink". It was a proprietary beverage made by A.G. Van Norstrand (also of Bunker Hill Brewery). It contained no alcohol but was hoppy flavored. They also were the local bottler's of both Orange Crush and Lemon Crush.
Very good condition considering the age. It has no major damage (chips or cracks). It does shows storage/use wear, some staining and a bubble formed inside of glass during the manufacturing process- see detailed pictures. Measures 8.5 " x 2".
This is a great piece of RARE local history of Maine. Or would make would make for an excellent addition to your collection of glass bottles or advertising.
