Description

First, everyone be well!
Then, here is a very old Hopi pottery bowl.  The design is distinctive.  Perhaps depicting an awanyu and other symbols on the bowl are probably water symbols - clouds, rain.  This bowl is in the Polacca style, which began around 1740 and continued until about 1890.
Polacca
wares were the predominant utilitarian wares of this time period.  This bowl is circa 1880s.  This bowl has a rounded base that curves smoothly up to the rim.  Well worn and long used, with a visible break that has absorbed a lot of whatever over the years.
Overall condition is good with light wear other than the crack.  Even with the crack, the bowl is stable.  Please see all the photos for details and full condition.
