This is Warm Wet & Wonderful by Mary Louise Norman.  A complete infant Layette, including christening gowns.  Garments in sizes from infants through six months.  Half scale patterns for knitting with any yarn and any tension.  Time to try out that knitleader or knit contour, knit radar.  For any  Japanese knitting machine.
The purpose of this text is to provide interesting new drafts on which the knitter can incorporate beautiful punchcards, interesting yarn textures an stunning color combinations to produce an original infant's layette for marketing and gifting.  Also to inspire the student of drafting with several extended studies on theme and variation in which drafted pattern pieces can be interchanged to create a wider variety of styles.  Also for you to develop confidence and courage in the use of half scale patterns on the knitting machine through the use of tiny, quickly knit porjects. Also to encourage the novice knitter who has only a basic knowledge of machine and pattern attachments.
